I'm currently a Senior Computer Science and Graphic Design dual-degree student at the University of Notre Dame. My interests mainly lie in programming web and Android applications, along with developing user interfaces.

For the summer of 2013, I am interning with IBM but I am searching for an entry-level Software Developer position for 2014. Feel free to view my website here!

Second Place at the Schurz Innovation Challenge, Schurz Media Inc. Notre Dame, IN - May 2013 Won Second Place at the Schurz Innovation Challenge for Tubalr, an Android application for streaming YouTube music. Tubalr was one of 6 finalists in the Schurz Innovation challenge, chosen by a panel of judges.

IBM - Software Developer Intern Austin, TX - May 2013 to Aug 2013 • Developed an Android application for remote management of AIX and PowerSC machines. • Developed a prototype of a real-time security application for PowerSC, with an Android application for receiving and displaying notifications and a web application (in Python) for data management and sending notifications.

Audite artists based on an initial artist query

Audite, http://www.github.com/iheanyi/Audite Apr 2013 - May 2013 Python web application utilizing the EchoNest and YouTube API to choose and recommend songs/artists based on an initial artist query. Developed back-end using CherryPy, using AJAX requests for fetching stream URLs and HTML5 audio tags for streaming.

• Developed an Android application to assist elderly patients in nursing homes and track improvements in their health and daily habits, also used an REST API developed in Python to update the database.

iCeNSA - Research Assistant Notre Dame, IN - Feb 2013 to Jun 2013 • Developed an Android application to assist geriatric patients in nursing homes and examine daily habits through data collected from a form in the app. Data gathered will be analyzed for improvements in patients' health and cognitive functions. Used Python (with CherryPy) and OracleSQL for data handling and storage.

Tubalr, http://goo.gl/xZ90b Feb 2013 - present Android application for Tubalr (www.tubalr.com), built using EchoNest's API for playlist generation and Tubalr's API for playlist management. Songs are fetched and streamed from YouTube; application currently has over 2k active installs. Awarded Second Place at the Schurz Innovation Challenge.

• Programmed with PHP and MySQL to manage and implement new features into BXGrid, the web portal for a Biometrics Research Grid

• Developed a Python program that submits molecular dynamics simulation commands to a distributed computing system and stores scientific metadata in a MySQL database
