The company has the first and only Direct Deals Marketplace with a social network for game developers to connect and negotiate promotional deals to help get their games into the hands of more players as well as generate revenue. Chartboost also offers the industry’s most transparent games-only network where developers can test promotional campaigns with more than 16,000 games, identify the best-performing partners and find the best fit for Direct Deals. Chartboost also provides cross-promotion technology completely free of charge so game makers can achieve success with each game launch.

Founded in 2011, the company now reaches 300 million unique users per month in over 150 countries, drives more than 8 billion game sessions per month and works with companies like Backflip, Beeline, Booyah, Crowdstar, Gameloft, Get Set Games, GREE, Kabam, Kiloo, Playfirst, Pocket Gems, SGN, TinyCo, Zynga and many other lead game developers. Based in SF, Chartboost has raised $21M from Sequoia Capital, Translink Capital, SK Telecom Ventures, and XG Ventures. We have top tier funding and are growing by leaps and bounds. :-)

Served a dual role as recruiter and leader for a group of 7 focused on Platforms System Software. Duties include producing as a recruiter carrying a full load of reqs and also coaching my team to improve performance and handle candidates and client groups correctly. Working with sourcers to teach them how to find very specific, difficult to find skillsets and partnering with recruiters to help get offers approved and close candidates to help build an elite engineering group at Google.

Software engineer roles filled include: linux kernel engineers; BIOS and firmware engineers, performance engineers, compiler engineers, Platforms software engineers, and system test developers.

Hired the current maintainer of the 2.6 linux kernel, amongst others.

While at Altera my job was as follows:

  • Source, interview, and evaluate candidates; perform compensation analysis for each candidate; provide salary recommendations to client groups; conduct salary negotiations with candidates; coordinate relocation and immigration issues as necessary, and fill requisitions quickly and cost-effectively.

  • In 2004 selected to grow the newly created Technical Services Organization worldwide. Successfully partnered with the client group VP, Directors, and hiring managers. Planned the hiring strategy for the group and led a weekly hiring status meeting for the entire organization (now 180+ employees). Exceeded stated goals.

  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to client groups. Demonstrated success executing a wide range of staffing programs in a corporate environment. Proficient recruiting both new college graduates and experienced professionals. One of only two recruiters kept during the downturn in 2000-2001.

  • Recruited on both Retained and Contingency basis to fill positions from Manager to VP level for hardware and software roles.

  • Staffed Cadence Design Systems and it’s subsidiaries with additional focus on wireless and networking startups. Primarily staffed the Methodology and Design Services groups at Cadence. Also worked on VP of WW sales for Teledex and senior level design engineers and AEs for Quickturn and MorphICs.

  • Recruited a network of experts for an Intellectual Property Database and Knowledge exchange for a startup subsidiary of my company. Recruited a network of CFOs, CIOs, VPs, Directors, Venture Capitalists, Hardware/Software Engineers, and consultants.
