Product Marketing ManagerYour goal is drive new student acquisition via Readyforce’s new resume book feature and new events feature. Your goal is drive new student acquisition via Readyforce’s new resume book feature and new events feature. This is a hybrid sales, marketing and product development role that will involve reaching out to student leaders, getting them to create resume books and events on Readyforce and working with the engineering team to make the feature better.

You connect and understand the needs, wants and culture of engineering students and the companies that want to hire them
You think in big and excited ways that get media attention
You are hyper organized with amazing attention to detail
You know how to track success with numbers, data and a budget
You find creative ways to get shit done quickly and with few resources
You always look for ways to make things better, more efficient, more scalable or less expensive
You can pitch your ideas in a clear and concise way that gets people excited
You love to run with limited guidance and oversight, but know when to ask questions
You have good product intuition
You understand and love startup life
Your initial responsibilities will be to own...
1) Resume Books - this feature was designed as a way for student leaders or school representatives to easily create, manage and share online resume books to help their members get more exposure. The goal of this feature is to drive both student and company acquisition.
2) Events on Readyforce - in January 2013, we acquired www.umeqo.com and are currently in the process of integrating into Readyforce. This feature is like “Eventbrite for College Events” and has seen good success at MIT driving over 1000 new students and over 300 new companies.

You will talk with hundreds of student leaders and school representatives You will have member acquisition targets and a budget You will work closely with the engineering team to make features better You will likely need to do some traveling You will report to the CEO All levels of experience are welcome, but only the awesome should apply. Compensation: $50k to $100k plus options and benefit (DOE)
Finally, you will be asked to do an exercise as a part of the interview process at Readyforce.
After the first wave phone interviews, you will be asked to:
1) Pick one of the features above 2) Design a marketing plan, an execution plan and a budget that reflects the “about you” section above 3) You will have 15 minutes to present your plan to Alex and 15 minutes of Q&A

Your responsibilities will be to develop and own...
1) Student Powered Conferences - this is a program designed to find amazing student leaders that want to create programs that help top students attend cool conference around the county. It is modeled off of interactatx.com, a student created event for 100 top students to go to SXSW. In many ways, we are crowdsourcing cool events for students.
2) Readyforce Powered Events - from time to time, Readyforce will design and execute its own events. The event currently in process is a huge summer game competition. Readyforce presents the largest student game competition to kick off the summer. 400 students and 50 companies competing to take home the title of Summer 2013 Gamer God.
3) Hacker Tour 2013 - this is version 2.0 of www.hackertour2012.com. Let’s make this bigger and more awesome.
